»The school will reopen on Tuesday, 17.01.2012 Dear Parents, This is to inform you that as per the directives of Director General School Education, Haryana Panchkula, vide Memo No. 15/9-2010 CO (1) dated 05.01.2012, the school will remain closed for all classes till Monday, 16.01.2012 due to intense cold wave and dense fog. RS Rana (Administrator) »New contact numbers... 0124 - 4845300 - 02 »CBSE Class - X Result (2010 – 2011) »Toppers : GYAN SAGAR SINGLA, AVANI GUPTA & NEERAJ SHEORAN - CGPA 10 »CONGRATULATIONS »School CGPA - 8.5 »ADVENTURE CAMP Suncity School organized the Adventure Camp for 270 students from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm for Pre- Nursery to class IX students on 25 March 2011, keeping in mind the importance of adventure and recreation after a fortnight of exam mobilization. The main attractions of the camp were River Crossing, Rappelling, Commando Net, Burma Bridge, Commando Crawl, Hop scotch, Tarzan Swing, Tug-of-War, Zorbing, Balance Beam and Tent Pitching. The students displayed team spirit through sharing, caring and respect for their peers and elders. The success of the camp proves that education does not need adventure, it is an adventure. »Yoga competition In today’s fast paced world, Yoga seems to be the most relieving resort. Suncity World school held it’s 3rd Inter-House Yoga competition on 28th April 2011 where in five participants from each of the four houses displayed their flexibility, coordination, discipline and dexterity. Artic & Pacific house were adjudged the top performers »Skating competition When determination is there nobody can stop us from achieving our goal. With the onset of the new session the very popular sport, Skating, took off a soaring high. Five of our children participated in the skating competition organized by Rajiv Gandhi Roller Skating federation on 1st May 2011 and did us proud by bagging 3 Gold, 1 Silver, 1Bronze medal. »22nd North & East India Invitational ITF A Sporty start to the academic session 2011-2012.Our children did us proud by participating in the 22nd North & East India Invitational ITF Taekwon-do Championship and winning a gold and three bronze medals. The dawn speaks of the day. We are sure this is only a beginning to a plethora of activities and achievements’ coming our way. »Sports are very important... Sports are very important in honing our students’ MI Skills as it helps them attain mind -body coordination and a greater level of concentration We felt honoured when two of our children Prithvi Raj-VII and Devansh Kapoor-VII were chosen to represent our school at the Inter National Level.They did us proud by playing well and Prithvi Raj was declared the top scorer. »Chess Tournament This Inter House Chess Tournament was eagerly awaited by the chess loving kids of the school as it enables them to display their logical skill and set a step forward for sterner tests in state/national level chess tournaments. The winners of the tournament were Sub – Junior group class -I was ABHIVEER-1B (INDIAN HOUSE), Sub Junior group class –II was JAY SHARMA-2C (PACIFIC HOUSE), Junior group was AYUSH VERMA-5A(PACIFIC HOUSE) and Senior group was TEJAS SONI-9B (ARTIC HOUSE). »Gymnastic Learning never stops here at suncity. Our children keep getting the exposure required for holistic development, 11 of our children participated in the District level competition held at sever 7 girls brought laurels by being selected for the state level championship to be held at Ambala. »Students reached the final level Our students reached the final level at "THE HERITAGE SCHOOL" from the 22nd of July to 24th of July by outdoing their competitions up to the penultimate round. »District level Badminton We, at Suncity School, understand the importance of sports in our lives. On 6th and 7th August our children went to Lions Public School to participate in the District level Badminton and did us proud by being selected for the state level badminton to be held at Punchkula from 17th August to 20th August 2011. After wining Winners (Parthi and Arushi Under-19) Runner up (Aditya, Arjun and Nikhil Under-14) trophies. »Lawn Tennis Tournament To make our students understand the significance of sports is something that we lay emphasis on. Our children participated in Scottish High School for Open Lawn Tennis Tournament and did us proud by winning (Nanak Sethi won under-17 and Manikaran Khurana won the doubles. In singles Manikaran Khurana and Arpita reached the semi finals and Harman Khurana from class I-E reached under-6 Finals. in their respective categories). »Table tennis tournament Sports play an important role in our lives which cannot be denied. We understand that fully well and exploit each and every opportunity that comes our way. We at Suncity witnessed the 6th inter house table tennis tournament held on 1st september’11. »Skating Championship The Skaters of Suncity did us proud by winning 1 Gold (Ayush) 4 Slilver (Stuti, Tanisha and Ayush ) and 4 Bronze (Stuti, Tanisha and Ayush) Medals in the National Skating Championship held in Meerut from 15th to 18th Dec. 2011.
